Integ is the exclusive supplier of China's leading thiosulfates that have been used in agriculture for nearly half a century.
Thiosulfates provide a readily available source of sulfur, which is essential for plant metabolism, enzyme function, and protein synthesis.
Unlike traditional sulfate-based fertilizers, thiosulfates can enhance nutrient uptake by releasing sulfur slowly over time, reducing leaching losses and improving efficiency. This controlled release helps maintain optimal soil sulfur levels, promoting better crop growth and yield.
Thiosulfates have a nitrogen stabilising effect increasing nitrogen-use-efficiency. Additionally, thiosulfates improve soil structure by fostering beneficial microbial activity and reducing soil alkalinity improving soil balance and health.
CTS is a neutral to basic, chloride-free and clear solution containing 6 % calcium and 10 % sulfur (w/w). An excellent source of calcium and sulphur, it can be applied to a wide variety of crops
KTS is a clear, nitrate and chloride-free solution containing 25% potash and 17% sulfur (w/w). KTS can be applied by drip, sprinkler or flood irrigation. It may be blended with other fertilizers or applied as a foliar treatment on selected crops.
MGTS is a neutral to slightly acidic chloride-free clear solution containing 4 percent magnesium and 10 percent sulfur (w/w). It has the same characteristics of other thiosulfates where low salt-out temperature is desirable under cool weather conditions..
On application to the soil, ammonium thiosulfate decomposes to form sulfate and elemental sulfur. Sulfate is immediately available for root uptake. The elemental sulfur becomes available once it is oxidised by soil bacteria to the sulfate form. This gives a slow release effect over several weeks, depending on prevailing soil and weather conditions.
A major use of ATS has been as a source of liquid sulfur in combination with urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) solution for both improved nutrient-use efficiency (NUE) and better crop yields.
In the industrial sector, sodium thiosulfate serves as a dechlorinating agent in water treatment processes, neutralizing residual chlorine in drinking water and wastewater, which helps protect aquatic life and infrastructure. It is also utilized in the photographic industry as a fixer in developing photographs, and in chemical synthesis as a reducing agent in various reactions. These diverse applications highlight sodium thiosulfate’s role in supporting agricultural productivity, environmental management, and industrial processes.
