Copper can be applied to the soil or as foliar sprays. If high enough rates are applied, soil applications can remain effective for a number of years, while foliar applications need to be applied at least annually. As micronutrients (trace elements) such as copper are typically applied at low rates, they are usually applied with some form of carrier, e.g. with other fertilisers, and in solution with water.
In industrial applications copper is a highly versatile and essential metal widely used due to its excellent conductivity, durability, and resistance to corrosion. In the electrical industry, copper's superior electrical conductivity makes it the material of choice for wiring, cables, and electronic components, ensuring efficient energy transmission and minimal power loss. In construction, copper is utilized for roofing, plumbing, and architectural details, valued for its longevity and aesthetic appeal. The metal is also critical in manufacturing alloys, such as bronze and brass, which are used in everything from musical instruments to industrial machinery.
The diverse applications of copper highlights its importance in modern technology, infrastructure, and daily life.
